DRESS CODE

In compliance with Ministry and School Board expectations and consultation with the parents of the School Council. Wearing appropriate clothing reinforces self-respect and respect for others and encourages a positive learning environment and a sense of school pride. School staff shall determine the interpretation of these dress code expectations.

  • Students must wear clean, neat and appropriate classroom clothing
  • Clothing must be worn in such a way that undergarments are not visible; low-cut, excessively tight or short, off-the-shoulder or see through garments are not appropriate for school
  • No suggestive or offensive messages on clothing (i.e. no rude sayings, drug or alcohol related slogans or symbols, sayings or symbols that encourage racism, sexism or violence)
  • Running shoes must be available at school on a daily basis; shoes that fit securely on the feet and are close-toed are greatly encouraged
