This professional learning focuses on providing educators and staff with the knowledge and skills needed to support and enhance student achievement and well being.<\/p>\n<h2>What Secondary School Staff Are Learning<\/h2>\n<h3>Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28, 2024 &#8211; Full Day Sessions<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Focus<\/strong>: Individual work finalizing course final evaluation tasks and semester end processes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Formats<\/strong>: In-person with a combination of whole group, and small group discussions and planning<\/li>\n<li><strong>Learning delivery method<\/strong>: Self-directed<\/li>\n<li><strong>Presenter(s)\/Facilitator(s)<\/strong>: Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schools Participating<\/strong>: All secondary schools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Content of Staff Learning<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Teachers will refer to provincial curriculum guidelines, Growing Success, and the Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting guidelines of the WRDSB<\/li>\n<li>Each school will use their individual school learning and improvement plans as anchors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrdsb.ca\/our-schools\/teaching-standards\/professional-development-days-for-school-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professional Development for School Staff<\/a> on the WRDSB website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28 are professional development (PD) days for secondary school staff.
