{"id":362,"date":"2020-08-17T19:57:06","date_gmt":"2020-08-17T19:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/alternative-education\/?p=362"},"modified":"2020-08-17T19:57:06","modified_gmt":"2020-08-17T19:57:06","slug":"returning-to-school-a-guide-for-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/alternative-education\/2020\/08\/17\/returning-to-school-a-guide-for-families\/","title":{"rendered":"Returning to School: A Guide for Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we embark upon a school year unlike any other, I want to express my deep gratitude for our students, staff, families, and communities who have persevered in an extraordinarily challenging time.\u00a0 We have experienced unprecedented change since our school year was interrupted last March and I know this process has been difficult for everyone as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our system has undergone a major transformation in preparation for reopening our doors to in person learning. Our schools and operations, especially, have undergone significant change to help support our commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing. Every facet of our system has been examined and re-imagined to prioritize the safety of all those who enter our buildings and to ensure that Human Rights and Equity is at the forefront of everything we do.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We know that school will look a lot different this year, but our commitment to our students remains unwavering and we are incredibly excited to welcome our staff and students back to the classroom this year.
