Whenever we\u2019re struggling, it\u2019s great to go back to basics. So in an effort to keep it super simple, here are some easy ideas that kids love. Most of all, they will appreciate spending a little time together \ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n<p>Experiment with your child using safe textures on their skin. Ask: \u201cDo you feel the fluffy pillow? How does it feel?\u201d Pause and wait for them to respond. You can talk about what you&#8217;re feeling, too. \u201cMy scarf feels smooth on my skin.\u201d If you are able to venture outside, there are lots of interesting textures to explore there too (e.g., tree bark, concrete, grass). Try re-using a piece of tin foil to press onto an interesting texture &#8211; notice the marks it made! Is there a pattern?
