Talk with your child about how these specific words help us and others to understand more about what makes that \u201crelative\u201d unique.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to use the correct words for different people.<\/p>\n<p>Indigenous people are the first people to live in a place. In Canada, our Indigenous people belong to a number of different communities or nations.
