In the summer of 2019, Anthony Johnson and James Makokis were the first Indigenous, two-spirit couple to compete on The Amazing Race Canada. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/edmonton\/edmonton-amazing-race-winners-johnson-mokakis-1.5278898\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You can read about their journey across Canada<\/a> and their journey of raising awareness about LGBTQ+ and Indigenous Community issues.<\/p>\n<h2>Create your own Amazing Treasure Hunt!<\/h2>\n<p>Instead of creating an Amazing Race, try adapting it to be an Amazing Treasure Hunt by writing your own clues or have a family member help you make clues for others to enjoy! You can give clues about objects for inside of your home or outside too if you are safe and keep a physical distance from others. Read the examples below for some ideas!<\/p>\n<h3>Clue #1<\/h3>\n<p>This thing has lots of numbers,<br \/>\nIt makes me feel less alone.<br \/>\nI talk and text others on it,<br \/>\nCould it be a ____________? (phone)<br \/>\nLeave your next clue on the phone.<\/p>\n<h3>Clue #2<\/h3>\n<p>It will be quite the tale,<br \/>\nWhen quarantine is o\u2019er.<br \/>\nThis is where a visitor comes,<br \/>\nYou should check the __________. (door)<br \/>\nLeave your next clue on or near the door.<\/p>\n<p>Continue the treasure hunt until you find the last clue. It could end with finding a favourite object, a surprise object, or simply a note of gratitude.
