{"id":33,"date":"2016-01-27T13:23:16","date_gmt":"2016-01-27T18:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wrdsb.ca\/continuing-education\/?page_id=33"},"modified":"2026-07-20T11:35:00","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T15:35:00","slug":"summer-school","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/continuing-education\/summer-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer School"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>\u00a0WRDSB Summer School information for 2026 will be updated regularly over the coming months &#8211; please check back for these updates regularly.<\/h2>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">WRDSB SUMMER SCHOOL &#8211; JULY 2026<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">IMPORTANT NOTE for GR. 12 STUDENTS:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSummer School marks will be submitted to OUAC &amp; OCAS for Grade 12 WRDSB students taking WRDSB classes by the 1st week of August.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">For Gr. 12 students taking a course with another school board,<br \/>\nthese marks will be entered by the students&#8217; home school:<br \/>\nplease contact your student&#8217;s home school with any questions related to these credits.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0 <strong>Transportation information now available<\/strong> <strong>&#8211; click here \u2192<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stswr.ca\/2026\/06\/08\/wrdsb-summer-school\">STSWR website<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Waterloo Region District School Board is planning once again to offer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">current<\/span> Grade 6, 7 &amp; 8 Elementary students and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">current<\/span> Grade 9-12 Secondary students an opportunity to enroll in summer school programs. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grade 6 &amp; 7 students may register in the Literacy \/ Numeracy Program;\u00a0 special Literacy \/ Numeracy programming provided for our MLL students.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Grade 8 students may register for the Literacy \/ Numeracy Program <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">OR<\/span> the Reach Ahead program &#8211; based on their learning needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Grade 9-12 students may register for secondary credit courses, which will be delivered either in-person or via the e-Learning option<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Only WRDSB students currently registered in the 2025\/2026 school year, and who are active students in June 2026, are eligible to take summer school<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Transportation details will be available in June on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stswr.ca\/2026\/06\/08\/wrdsb-summer-school\">STSWR website<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Important Note: Students are only able to access their WRDSB Google accounts from within Canada. <\/strong><strong>Students traveling internationally will not be able to access their WRDSB Google accounts while they are outside of\u00a0 Canada. Students traveling internationally will not be able to access their Google accounts until their return to Canada.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Bussing will be provided for all of our Elementary and Secondary students.\u00a0 However, please note that Summer School buses cover a large geographic area and parents\/guardians will need to make arrangements to get their children to and from centralized bus stops.
