Re-Engagement is a Continuing Education program for individuals ages 18+ who are seeking an individualized pathway towards earning their OSSD.<\/p>\n
Re-Engagement students can choose from a number of different independent self-study courses at the open and college level.\u00a0 Credit Recovery, eLearning, PLAR, Experiential Learning and Dual Credit are some of the other ways students can earn the credits they need to graduate.<\/p>\n
Re-Engagement teachers support students in their learning through virtual meetings, email, text messaging,\u00a0 and face-to-face meetings at the Alternative and Continuing Education Schools in Cambridge and Waterloo.\u00a0 Additionally, meetings at libraries, coffee shops, home schools etc. are also possible.<\/p>\n
Students in Re-Engagement are independent learners.\u00a0 There is no requirement for students to attend a physical classroom.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities of a Re-Engagement student include the following:<\/p>\n
To be an effective program for students, it is reasonable that students complete a single course every 5 weeks.\u00a0 Most courses are 4 modules in length.\u00a0 Timelines are flexible but this program is in high demand and space is limited, so regular participation is required.<\/p>\n
