We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Newlands as a new Superintendent of Student Achievement and Well-Being, effective March 1, 2023.<\/p>\n
Michelle brings her knowledge and expertise gained in her current role as a Private Schools Inspector in the Field Service Branch with the Private Schools and International Education Unit in the Ministry of Education. This builds on her prior experience as a manager, and an education officer with the Ministry, and as a principal with the Halton District School Board. Throughout, Michelle has remained focused on supporting the achievement of all students, and building strong relationships with those public education serves.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so excited to have Michelle as part of the WRDSB team,\u201d said Scott Miller, Associate Director. \u201cMichelle\u2019s extensive experience as a provincial leader with the Ministry of Education, in addition to her time as a school principal, has provided her with the attributes to support, serve and lead student achievement and well-being in the WRDSB.\u201d<\/p>\n
