The Waterloo Region District School Board, through the Outdoor and Environmental Education Department (OEE), maintains four full time outdoor and environmental education centres.

Blair Outdoor Education Centre (Grades 1-6) – OEES: Nathan Mantey, (Cold-water Creek/Indigenous Food Garden/Mixed Forest)

Camp Heidelberg Education Centre (Grades 1-9) – OEES: Al Woodhouse, (Pond/Sugar Bush/Meadow/Pond/Mixed Forest)

Laurel Creek Outdoor Education Centre (Grades 1-9) – OEES: Sean McCammon, (Cold-water Creek/Ponds/Cattail Marsh/Coniferous and Mixed Forest)

Wrigley Corners Outdoor Education Centre (Grades 7-12) – OEES: Levi Moore, (Pond/Lake/Meadow/River Access/Galt Morain/Carolinian Forest)

Each of our full time centres is run by and Outdoor and Environmental Specialist who is responsible for the operation, maintenance and all programming.

We also run a part time centre at the Huron Natural Area (HNA) in the spring and fall.  This site is shared with the City of Kitchener and program availability may change from year to year.  This site has a mix of coniferous and deciduous forest, swamp, ponds, and a cold-water creek.
