There is a thin layer of ice on golden pond which is the first time I&#8217;ve ever seen it. I think everyone is having more fun because of it.we have a small group of twelve here today because it&#8217;s also take your kid to work day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/11\/20121107-130457.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/11\/20121107-130457.jpg\" alt=\"20121107-130457.jpg\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>There is still an entire week of pond study left so hopefully (although I&#8217;m sure others would disagree) there will be more ice to come. Despite the winter-like temperatures (the air temperature is 4.6 and the water is 2 degrees celcius) the students are still finding various types of beetles, waterboat man and the occasional frog.
