about 1300 litres.\u00a0 With that extra sap goes more weight, and the raised platform it sits on needed some bracing and re-construction.\u00a0 So who you gonna call?<\/p>\n<p>We brought in some experts, a few former &#8220;outdooredguys&#8221; all with maple-syrup making experience &#8211; from left to right below, Rod Deacon, Fraser Gibson, me, Kit Bresnahan and Dennis Wendland.\u00a0 There hasn&#8217;t been this many of us assembled in the same place since the 1990&#8217;s.\u00a0 Kit&#8217;s son Robyn who is well over 6 feet added youth and muscle to the crew along with his knowledge of carpentry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1843\" alt=\"photo\" src=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/photo.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo.jpg 960w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-165x124.jpg 165w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-945x709.jpg 945w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-750x563.jpg 750w, https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/environmental-education\/files\/2013\/03\/photo-100x75.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Out came the measuring tapes, saws, drills and levels and a few hours later we hoisted the new tank onto the platform.\u00a0 We made no major mistakes, suffered\u00a0 no injuries, and had a lot of fun in the process.\u00a0 I miss working with these guys &#8211; they are good men all &#8211;\u00a0 and I appreciate both their help today, and their friendship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1842\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/outdooredguys.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So when the next run of sap is ceremonially pumped up into the new tank it&#8217;ll be thanks to a group of &#8220;Hall of Fame&#8221;
