Have a diploma, but you are missing a necessary course to be able to apply to a college program?\u00a0 You have many options to open the door to college.<\/p>\n<p>The chart below shows <strong>4 different ways to get to college<\/strong> (the fifth purple pathway is a pathway to university).\u00a0 Perhaps the most well known route is the Ontario Secondary School Diploma pathway (red).\u00a0 But it is not the only pathway available to adults.<\/p>\n<p>At ESU, we help people down two other pathways to college:<br \/>\n1.\u00a0 <strong>Academic and Career Entrance Program<\/strong> pathway (yellow)<br \/>\n2.\u00a0 <strong>High School Equivalency Certificate<\/strong> via the <em>Canadian Adult Education Credential (GED replacement)<\/em> pathway (green). (Note:\u00a0 please see our <a href=\"https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/esu\/ged-update\/\"><strong>CAEC &#8211; the GED Replacement<\/strong><\/a> page)<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><em>Good news!\u00a0 Now, learners that earn college entrance via upgrading (without an OSSD and without the high school prerequiste courses) are eligible to also get their OSSD on completion of a college diploma or degree <\/em><em>program!
