{"id":435,"date":"2020-09-11T02:02:28","date_gmt":"2020-09-11T02:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/pathways\/?page_id=435"},"modified":"2021-11-11T00:57:39","modified_gmt":"2021-11-11T00:57:39","slug":"brick-stone","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/schools.wrdsb.ca\/pathways\/dual_credit\/oyap\/brick-stone\/","title":{"rendered":"401A &#8211; Brick &#038; Stone Mason"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Class Descriptions<\/h2>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 10px;\">The curriculum standard for the Level 1 Brick and Stone Mason trade program is based upon the on-the-job performance objectives, located in the industry-approved training standard and is organized into reportable subjects, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tools &amp; Equipment<\/li>\n<li>Engineering, Building, and Safety Codes<\/li>\n<li>Worksite Preparation<\/li>\n<li>Wall Systems<\/li>\n<li>Mortar<\/li>\n<li>Structural Masonry<\/li>\n<li>Non-Structural Masonry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 10px;\">The in-school program focuses primarily on the theoretical knowledge and the essential skills required to support the performance objectives of the Apprenticeship Training Standards. \u00a0The practical portion of the in-school program is used to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
