Today the Premier of Ontario announced new measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 effective December 26th, 2020. Temporary school closures are included in this plan.

The WRDSB is fully prepared for the transition to Distance Learning and will be providing further details to parents and students before January 4th, 2021. Elementary school students are currently scheduled to return to in-person learning on January 11, 2021, and secondary school students will continue learning remotely until January 25, 2021 at which time we will return to our regularly scheduled in-person learning. From January 4-8, 2021, when elementary students move to remote learning, before and after school programs will be closed. Families are encouraged to contact their childcare providers to determine the availability of licenced childcare from January 4 – 8, 2021. Additional details about emergency child care for school-aged children will be forthcoming. Although our school buildings remain closed, we continue to work as a Board to support student learning and well-being as our staff deliver Distance Learning materials.
