 Hello this is Sean’s son Sawyer writing, and look what I found. ANTS!!!!! Pavement ants to be exact. Before my dad took this picture they were in a “J” shape on the sidewalk. We didn’t know what they were after but we predicted that they were like that because someone had dropped food or there was another insect they were after. However, after we saw them we searched online and found out that they were probably a moving party, and that they were moving to a different location. When the colony becomes overcrowded, half of the ants move with a queen to a new home. Honey bees do the same thing. We also learned that they will bite, and a solo ant bite will not hurt, but this is a party of them and they will hurt and may even cause a allergic reaction. We both thought that they were very VERY cool. 😀
