While walking back from the pond with a class at the start of the week I noticed a patch of barked missing from a tree. I look further up in the tree and half of the bark was missing. Upon closer inspection I realized it was a Porcupine that had chewed the bark!  I always thought it would be interesting to have a Porcupine on the property. Three of the last four days there has been new chew evidence on a small cluster of trees. I have not seen the actual animal yet, but I keep an eye open for it.
