Fleece Vest
Today I bought a new fleece vest The vest was made in Bangladesh ___________ Fleece is made from plastic And plastic comes from oil Oil comes from sludge that lies Beneath Alberta soil Bangladesh is a country Four thousand miles away Bangladeshis make about Two dollars every day Plastic is a product That never does break down A thousand years from now It will still be in the ground The tar sands in Alberta Spew pollution in the air It makes the planet hotter Creates chaos everywhere I have closets full of clothes I acquire and collect them You can show me all the dots you want I never will connect them ___________ Today I bought a new fleece vest The vest was made in Bangladesh
