On Monday, we will tap the trees at Laurel Creek for the start of our maple syrup season. Tuesday, we tap at Camp Heidelberg.  This will be my 13th season as a “sugarmaker.”

I also play a little guitar on the side, and I had written a few songs about life in the sugar bush. Seems a little strange even to me, but I ended up writing 12 songs about making maple syrup. I eventually recorded them and recently released a CD called, “Songs from the Sugar Bush.”

Last year I got together with Paul Campsall and Tom Knowlton, and we made a video for one of the songs. It was a lot of fun. Here it is!

The whole CD is available on iTunes if you are interested, or from me.
