Clean-Up Time

Sometimes it’s all about the simplest things. Whenever we’re struggling, it’s great to go back to basics. So in an effort to keep it super simple, here are some easy ideas that kids love. Most of all, they will appreciate spending a little time together 💙

Have your child set the table with you. Ask them to estimate how many people will be at the meal, then check to see if they is correct by counting the actual number. Next, break down the job into simple steps, setting out the correct numbers of plates and napkins.

Studies show that children learn math concepts particularly well when they estimate and then count to check themselves. Setting the table also promotes their working memory in remembering the steps, as well as their focus and self-control in staying on task and reaching a goal.
