On Écrit

  • Change les mots d’un texte français.

Le but: Écrire un message court en français.

Choisis une page d’un livre (ou un extrait d’un texte à l’Internet) en français. Change tous les noms communs à des objets que tu peux voir devant toi dans la maison, puis lis-le à voix haute. As-tu ri? Est-ce que tes changements le rend drôle?

  • N’oublie pas de continuer de lire quelque chose qui t’intéresse et d’écrire tes réflexions dans ton cahier d’écriture chaque jour.

Note to Parents/Guardians

Your child is being invited to select a page of a French book (or an excerpt of a French text online) and to remove all the common nouns mentioned in the text. Then they are to rewrite the text by replacing all the removed common nouns with the words for objects they can see around them in the house. When they read their re-written paragraph aloud, is it funny? They are also encouraged to read something of enjoyment and write in their Writer’s Notebook daily.
