Investigations
Materials:
- a copy of tangram pieces
- if you don’t have a printer you could make your own using squared paper or you could use the virtual version
- scissors to cut out the pieces
The tangram is a square that has been cut into seven pieces.
Can you make other squares using some, but not all, of the pieces?
Can you make five different squares?
What is the smallest square you can make?
What is the largest?

- What could you put with this piece to make a square?
