Active Participation: Fun Games and Challenges
The at-home “Bop-It” Challenge! All you need is a piece of scrap paper that you crumple tightly into a ball and your hands.
Your challenge: Try to keep the paper ball up in the air using alternating hands
- Use your hands like paddles.
- You cannot catch the ball.
- Count how many times you can “bop” the ball up, alternating between hands, before it hits the ground.
- Try the challenge three times. What is your personal best? Challenge someone else.
Variations:
- Use two paper plates that you hold in each hand and try to “bop” the paper into the air.
- Create a small circled area that you must stand inside while “bopping” the paper. If you step outside your circle, you need to start counting all over again.
- Try to “bop” the paper ball using only one hand (your other hand is behind your back).
- Try to “bop” other objects such as, small, light stuffed animals, or sock balls, or small plastic ping pong balls, etc.
- Try “bopping” the paper while walking around the room, or space.
Have Fun!
