Word Choice

We have been thinking about words and how writers use words for different purposes in their writing. Challenge your child to think of some of their favourite words – funny words, strange words, beautiful words, tasty words, maybe even made-up words!

Together make a list of words that your child might use to write poems, stories, letters or…almost anything! Perhaps you will consider posting the lists somewhere where you can add to them over time. You might choose to use a chart like this one:
