Draw My Picture Game

In this game, Person A gives verbal directions about a picture to Person B as they draw it. At the same time, Person B draws what Person A says onto their own paper. What masterpieces will you create?

Materials

  • A writing tool like a pencil, pen, or marker
  • Something to write on like paper or cardboard

Directions

  1. Sit back-to-back or so that you can’t see each other.
  2. Person A gives instructions using simple shapes and lines to describe what they are drawing step-by-step to Person B.
  3. Person B draws what Person A describes.
  4. After you are done, compare your drawings! How did you do?
  5. Switch roles and play again.

Example

  1. Draw a triangle with the point facing down with the flat side at the top.
  2. Make a nose in the middle of the triangle.
  3. Add eyes above the nose.
  4. Draw eyebrows on top of the eyes.
  5. Make a mouth that has an open smile.
  6. Put hair on top of the triangle that looks like a cloud.
  7. Colour the hair in.
  8. Draw a bigger triangle under the other triangle. Put the flat side of the triangle on the bottom this time.
  9. Draw 2 arms and 2 legs coming from the triangle.
  10. Add hands and feet by drawing a circle at the end of each hand and foot.
