Encourage Creativity
It’s Earth Week so it’s time to get creative by making a puzzle with recycled materials that can be found in your home.
Materials:
- A box that is ready to be recycled (e.g., cereal, frozen pizza, crackers, etc.)
- Any writing tool (e.g., marker, pen, pencil etc.)
- Ruler (not required)
- Scissors*
*Consider asking an adult for help using scissors
Instructions:
- Cut out the front of the box into a rectangle or square
- Turn the cardboard over to the blank side
- Use a marker, pen or pencil with a ruler to draw straight lines to make as many pieces as you want
- 8 – 10 pieces (easy)
- 10 – 20 pieces (medium)
- 20 or more pieces (hard)
- Cut your pieces out
- Put your puzzle together
Challenge a family member to put your puzzle together once you are done. Have fun!
