It’s Earth Week so it’s time to get creative by making a puzzle with recycled materials that can be found in your home.

Materials:

  • A box that is ready to be recycled (e.g., cereal, frozen pizza, crackers, etc.)
  • Any writing tool (e.g., marker, pen, pencil etc.)
  • Ruler (not required)
  • Scissors*

*Consider asking an adult for help using scissors

Instructions:

  • Cut out the front of the box into a rectangle or square
  • Turn the cardboard over to the blank side
  • Use a marker, pen or pencil with a ruler to draw straight lines to make as many pieces as you want
    • 8 – 10 pieces (easy)
    • 10 – 20 pieces (medium)
    • 20 or more pieces (hard)
  • Cut your pieces out
  • Put your puzzle together

Challenge a family member to put your puzzle together once you are done. Have fun!
