Encourage Creativity
Just as focusing on the present moment can improve well-being, thinking about the future can also improve our psychological well-being and help us to make better decisions.
Take a moment to imagine what your life might be like 10 years from now. Things have gone as well as you possibly could have hoped. Silently visualize:
- What will you be doing?
- Who will be in your life?
- What will be most important to you?
After spending some time thinking about your life in 10 years, write down, draw, or create a collage of your visualizations.
Share what you created with a family member if you choose.
