Let’s Focus

Sometimes it’s all about the simplest things. Whenever we’re struggling, it’s great to go back to basics. So in an effort to keep it super simple, here are some easy ideas that kids love. Most of all, they will appreciate spending a little time together 💙

Pretend you’re your child’s mirror. Encourage them to move very slowly as you try to copy the same movements at the same time. Then you take a turn to move and they can try to act like your mirror. Try moving faster, then slower, as you both continue to play.

Your child is focusing and using self-control as they tune out distractions, don’t go on autopilot, pay close attention to your actions, and control their movements to match yours. Changing the speed of your movements encourages your child to think even more flexibly.
