The MLL Summer Program will assist students entering into Grades 7, 8 or 9 in September 2025 with further development of their English communication skills. The program will focus on all three communication areas: oral, reading and writing. For newcomer youth, there will be an introduction to a variety of programs and supports available in the community.
Students will be expected to participate in learning activities / lessons for the entirety of the program.
- Elementary MLL program begins Monday, July 7, 2025 to Friday, July 25, 2025
- All programs will be in-person from 9:30am to 2:30pm
- Classes will be held at several WRDSB sites (sites still TBD)
- Only WRDSB students currently registered in a WRDSB school in 2024/2025 are eligible
- Registration begins March 17th, 2025 and will close May 16th, 2025

Transportation Information:
Bussing will be provided for all of our Elementary and Secondary students. However, please note that Summer School buses cover a large geographic area and parents/guardians will need to make arrangements to get their children to and from centralized bus stops. This is applicable in rural settings as well.
Summer School routes will be posted on the STSWR website in early June.
