Sean told me about his Brown Thrasher sighting so I have been on the lookout for it.  I thought I saw it this morning, but only its back as it flew away, not enough to be sure.  Right after the class left, I was working downstairs and saw a bird at the feeder. I grabbed the binoculars and the camera and sure enough it was the bird Sean saw.  I managed to get one picture before it flew off.

Later when I came upstairs, I glanced out the front door and saw the Thrasher again just as it flew away.  I looked to see what it had been doing and saw this.

It had been digging in the soil along the front of the Nature Centre where the snow isn’t deep.  You can slightly see wing marks in the snow.  I will continue to keep an eye out for our friend.
