Goals:

  • Organize your research jot notes to get ready for writing

Yesterday, you used online encyclopedias to look for information about your Historical Hero.

Today, take some time organizing the information you have gathered.

First, read your notes from yesterday. Look for ideas that belong together. (e.g. they are about the same topic or idea). Highlight or label these ideas to show they belong together

Next, think about the order in which you want to share your information. What will you share first? What comes next? What is the last idea or fact you want to share?

Finally, decide if you need more information to fill in some missing parts of your research. Use the databases from yesterday, or ask your family for help, to look for more information on your hero.

Keep any questions you cannot find an answer to in a category called “My Unanswered Questions”.
