The Learning Task

During this time of civil unrest in the United States some symbols like the Confederate flag are being banned because of racist undertones.

Often, Canadians believe we do not have the same problems as our neighbours to the south. However, there is controversy close to home. Some believe that the city name of Kitchener needs to be changed. View the following video and read the accompanying news article to answer the following in a persuasive paragraph persuasive media sample:

• The city name of Kitchener should be changed
• The city name of Kitchener should not be changed
