An interjection is a part of speech that is usually an abrupt remark, or exclamation especially as a part of speech (ah!, dear me!)
The interjection eh-as in “I know, eh?” is popularly considered to be a marker of Canadian speech. Eh in Canadian usage is a request for repetition or to mark a question.
