Writing
Goals
- gather, generate and organize ideas
The Learning Task
Awards are an honour and recognition for accomplishments as measured against a predetermined set of criteria.
An example of an award found in a school might be the environmental award. The criteria for this award would include:
- students who show passion and stewardship for the environment
- start and/or contribute to environmental initiatives within the school
- educate others about the environment
Your turn! Today you are being asked to create an award for yourself! It needs to be an award that does not already exist. For example awards might include: the most time spent on the couch, award for being a helpful child or sibling, virtual student of the year, biggest dreamer.
You need to name your award and outline the criteria necessary to win to be honoured with the award.
Daily task! Don’t forget to engage with your Writer’s Notebook: Creating a Place for Reflection
