Express Gratitude

The 2019-2020 school year is almost over, and it has been quite the memorable year! Think back to the first day or week of school in September 2019 – what do you remember most? Think about time spent with friends over the year, special school events, the learning you engaged in, both in school and at home. How might you collect your thoughts to remember them years from now?

Create Personal Memories

Creating a book, box, or collage of your memories is a fun way to reflect on the year.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Draw, print, cut out, or look at photos that represent some of the highlights of your year.
  • Write out some of your memories as stories or poems.
  • Make your handprints on paper using fingerpaint, flour and water, or even mud.
  • Create some arts or crafts that remind you of this school year.
  • Write a letter to yourself about the best parts of the 2019-2020 school year.
  • Include art or projects you created at school or during your time learning from home.

Once you have created or gathered some of these items, glue them into a book, place them into a box, or create a new piece of art with them. Be creative and have fun remembering some of the great things you experienced during the 2019-2020 school year!
