Supports: Meet with our Employer Liaison team to discuss networking, screening, as well as marketing yourself with a focus on making contacts and relationship building with employers.

Registration Process: Connect with your Career Work Coach to determine if this service would support your goals at this time. Your Coach will register you for this online session. If you have already attended one JMPI session, there is no need to attend again.

 Job Club | 10:00-11:00am on Tuesdays, delivered via Zoom Video Conferencing

Supports: Meet with other Job Seekers and learn about the existing job prospects, tips on how to prepare for virtual interviews, networking, and self-marketing.  Links to current resources will also be provided to support you while you continue to pursue your path for career success.

LinkedIn Networking Session | Wednesday September 16th, delivered via Zoom Video Conferencing

Supports: Session takeaways will include; understanding the importance of personal branding, measuring how efficiently you’re using LinkedIn and identifying effective online networking strategies.

Employer Showcase Series | 11:00-11:30am on Thursdays, delivered via Zoom Video Conferencing

Supports: The Career Centre Employer Showcase series is a great way to learn more about a company, their current hiring processes, learn of available employment opportunities and directly connect with the Employer. On Thursday September 24th, join us online with Molly Kimpel, Human Resources Director in collaboration in Project Read to learn more about what employers are looking for in a cover letter/resume and discuss interview tips.

MyCareer Portal | Account Registration & Online Leads/Supports

Supports: Register for a Conestoga College MyCareer account to access ongoing job leads. Refer to the “Hot Jobs” section for leads posted by our Employer Liaison team. These leads are updated when we have employers in our network actively looking to fill roles. There are other online supports listed in the “Hot Jobs” section, such as articles and webinars you can access.
