Step One: Watch the Video about Wassily Kandinsky

This is what you will need:

  • a white sheet of paper
  • 7 round objects, some ideas are: cups, bowls, plastic lids, buttons, stickers, hockey puck or any other round object you can find
  • colouring tools: anything will do (crayons, markers, pencil crayons, paints & brushes, pens, pastels etc)

Transparent blue circles overlapping one another on a black background.Getting started

  1. Position one of the seven circular objects on the paper (you can start with the largest or the smallest object)
  2. Trace around the object with a marker, crayon, paint, pastel or any colouring tool you have.
  3. Place and trace the rest of the circular objects where you want them ( try different size circles, circles that touch, circles that don’t touch).
  4. Use different colours, blend colours, use the same or different colours, just remember to leave the background white.
