Physical Fitness: Aerobic and Strength Building Workouts

It is baseball season! While during social distancing, we may not be able to play a full game of baseball, we can pretend we are playing baseball, and do a “baseball workout”. There is no equipment required for this workout – just your imagination!

  1. Follow along with the Boks Burst ‘Baseball, As If, Canada” Workout, or
  2. Follow along with the instructions listed below.

Regardless of how you want to work out –Let’s Play Ball! (If you want to really have fun, play the “Okay Blue Jays” song while you do the workout!)

Workout Instructions

Do each exercise for 15 seconds, then switch.

  1. Jump in place as if you were catching a fly ball, one hand above your head.
  2. Fast feet, like you are running to first base.
  3. Swing the imaginary bat, like you just hit a home run.
  4. Shuffle side to side, as if you are leading off of first base.
  5. Throw the imaginary ball like you are the pitcher striking out the batters.
  6. Pretend you are the short stop, by bending and pretending to pick up the baseball and throw it to second base.
  7. Jog in place, waving your hands above your head, like you just hit a homerun.
  8. Wave to fans, then try the workout all over again
