Generating and Collecting Ideas

Writers collect ideas from many different places.

Go on a walk with your family. You could walk outside in your neighbourhood, or even inside your home. Take a notebook with you. Notice everything! Write down all of the things that you notice in your notebook.

Did you see something interesting? Did you notice something you haven’t noticed before? Write about it. Can you use your words to create a picture in the mind of the reader? Use the best words you can think of!
